Toters

It’s back!
This is how it works.
At the October sign up you will receive a tote box.  In it you will find a particular theme and a piece of fabric to include as you build a block.
Each month at the beginning of the meeting, you will return the tote.
At the end of each meeting until the end of May, you pick up a new tote.
If you are away for a month, you can ask a friend to cover for you by doing your block for you. The totes are given out to “toters” at the June banquet and you will have 8 different blocks of a particular theme.  How cool!
Official Sign up in October      FEE $5.00 (cover initial fabric cost)
Reveal in June.

Toter Rules

  • lTo keep it on track the following rules apply:

  • lYou must complete the block in the month in which it was given.

  • lIncomplete blocks or no block at all will result in a toters fine of $10.00 which must be placed in the tote.  (this compensates for loss of block at the end of the year).

  • lDo not mix afternoon with evening totes.

  • lYou are responsible for returning the tote on time each month (make arrangements if you can not make a meeting).

  • lAfternoon totes are afternoon totes and evening totes are evening totes the program does not mix.

  • lYou must follow theme indicated on the instruction sheet and the title.

  • lMachine or hand piecing, paper piecing and hand or machine appliqué are all acceptable.  Fusible appliqué is allowed but all raw edges must be satin stitched by hand or machine. Embellishments are also acceptable.  Each block must include a piece of the supplied fabric in the block .Eight blocks have to contain the theme fabric, so please be sure to do it wisely.

  • lUse only 100% cotton.
